DC-DC Mini Step-Down 4-24V to 5V 3A Converter Power Supply Module
Product Description:
This is an adjustable mini DC-DC converter power supply module that can convert an input voltage from 4V – 24V to different fixed sets of output voltage and an adjustable one. The maximum theoretical output current is 3A. However, this is a maximum spec; you should be able to use this module around 1.5A – 2A.
The sets of fixed output voltage are 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, 9V, and 12V. The adjustable output voltage can range from 0.8v – 22v.
Additionally, this module has an EN pin that you can interface with your MCUs.
It also has overcurrent and short-circuit protection (“hiccup” mode), and thermal overload protection. Note that it doesn’t have reverse input protection.

Output Voltage Options:
Most modules have a PCB trace across the ADJ pads that set the board to variable output voltage mode. To set the output voltages in fixed mode, simply cut this trace and then bridge the pads of the corresponding output voltage you want.
Integrated Circuit:
The IC used is the MP2315 from Monolithic Power Systems. Some characteristics of this IC are:
- Overcurrent protection (including short-circuit) in “hiccup” mode.
- Thermal Overload protection.
