TP4056 MINI USB LITHIUM BATTERY CHARGING BOARD USER’S GUIDE

Product Description:

This module allows the user to charge a (1S) Li-Ion battery through USB using a MINI USB connector. There are also PCB input terminals that can be used to supply the charging power. The charging method used is CC/CV.

By default, the charging current is set to 1000mA. This can be changed by changing the charge programming resistor at Pin 2 of the IC.

Programming Pin Calculations:

Constant Charge Current Setting and Charge Current Monitor Pin charge current is set by connecting a resistor RISET from this pin to GND. When in precharge mode, the ISET pin’s voltage is regulated to 0.2V. When in constant charge current mode, the ISET pin’s voltage is regulated to 2V.In all modes during charging, the voltage on ISET pin can be used to measure the charge current as follows:

Precautions:

  • Please check the polarity of your battery before connecting it to this module.
  • This module has no BMS (Battery Management System) functionality.
